Joint Venture - Newbies, Consider This

by: Wy Williams

A Joint Venture can generate a ton of money for you. It can take your business some place it’s never been. In addition, nothing that you own will be placed at risk and you don’t even have to spend a cent!

If you’re going to do a Joint Venture, check out the heavy hitters first. Go straight to the top. Make an approach to them for a piece of the big time action. What have you got to lose? Your pride? Take a spoonful of that and put it on the dinner plate and see who eats it?

Newbie’s, are you tired of all the stuff those big guys have been shoveling? Think about this. If all the material the big time gurus sell to you really works, then how come you aren’t rich like them?

Do you have a problem accumulating wealth using other people's money and expertise? Piggybacking of other business clients,’ products and resources just may be the way for you to go at this point.

Can you really achieve something like this? You don’t have any expert status, a mailing list, credibility, or even a product. We won’t even consider the question of experience.

You have to consider your own strengths. Is your real strength in communicating? That could be half the battle with a Joint Venture. It’s about bringing the right parties together. You must have no fear of approaching and persuading your intended partners. Consider their current products, targeted clients, and resources.

Think what would happen if these ingredients were merged? What would the synergy create? Do you envision unbelievable wealth? Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about. You can get a share in that wealth building too.

For example, keep your ear to the ground. Think about the targeted customers in a particular company. Would they be responsive to an approach to buy something of value from another company?

The product and people would certainly compliment themselves if merged. Work up a plan, make the approach. Are you afraid that if you make the approach one of the principals might turn you down and run with the idea himself and cut you out?

You can’t let that hold you back. You may have been the one individual who could pull this Joint Venture together and make it work. Take the bull by the horns and make the approach.

The key for you here is to create the type of Joint Venture that absolutely no one can say no to. Also, when they see your creative juices flowing, they’ll realize that this joint venture wouldn’t work without you.

Think over possible objections like, ‘this won’t work,’ ‘this is a losing plan, anyone can see that,’ or even, ‘nobody is going to steal my customers.’

If you’re the type of person who is not easily intimidated and can handle high powered people and their objections without getting rattled, there could be something for you in the joint ventures arena. Think of the possibilities!

You must have a strong belief in yourself that you can bring this deal to a close. Show the parties that they have fallen head first into a win/win situation. What is a joint venture but an agreement that will benefit three or more people? (Obviously considering you also).

Don’t be overawed by people in high places. You can do this? I know you can bring someone with a targeted mailing list, and someone with a product that you believe will dovetail nicely with that mailing list together? If you know it too, then go ahead.

Convince them of the explosive possibilities of a joint venture? If you have the belief that you have the tools to do that, then what are you waiting for. You may have arrived.

Make Your Business Travel Easier With Better Technology

by: Rick Abbott

At one point not long ago travel time was considered dead time to the businessperson. Dead time while waiting on flights, on the plane and, worse, dead time in the hotel was, in general, considered to be wasted time. That’s not so today.

With the advent of WIFI in airports and hotels, travel time does not need to be a waste. We no longer even consider packing the laptop into the luggage. Rather, we carry it on the plane with us and use it during travel.

Most airports have now added the ability to hook into their broadband networks with an Ethernet cord. Better still, you can just boot up with a wireless card and you’re good to go. For a list of airports in the United States and Europe that offer free Internet hotspots check out this web site: http://www.wififreespot.com/airport.html.

This also goes for hotels and motels. Just boot up your computer and you’re back in the office. Some hotels offer high-speed Internet at an additional cost. But it’s usually packaged with long distance service or unlimited calling. Others offer the Internet connection free. Usually, all you need to do is supply your name and, in some cases, a room number, to connect. Other hotels may offer wireless service only in rooms within range of its network.

In laptops not equipped with wireless cards can access the wireless Internet service at some hotels because guests can check out equipment at the desk. For wired connections, a cable may be supplied in the room. If you feel limited, as a lot of us do when tied to the wall with the Ethernet cable, consider adding a compact router to your briefcase. Several are now available for under $100 and their range is actually comparable to the full size router.

OK, so now you know how easy it is to connect. But what about the equipment? For seamless travel, most of us know that a laptop and a cell phone are essential lifelines for the business traveler, but what other technology and new equipment is available to the travelling businessperson?

Packing all of the pieces and toting them can be a hassle, to be sure. The luggage industry has finally realized this and has risen to the occasion. Today, more than ever, we are seeing compact bags that will pack the multitude of cords, wires and chargers needed for business travel.

It seems that the old heavy bags are a thing of the past and travelers now rely more on the backpack style to travel. They pack equipment that weighs several times more than their body size. The only real care to take is to make sure that the wireless card is safely stored in a pocket of the backpack - not in the computer, And for sanity’s sake, a lesson learned the hard way, pack an extra.

Whether you opt for the briefcase version or the easier-to-tote backpack, style and room is not going to be sacrificed. Both the traditional briefcase and the backpack are now roomier and well padded for the office essentials. Both styles come with and without wheels. The choice is the travelers, and there is a multitude of ways to go.

When it comes to business travel, pack the right tools and you won’t even know that you are out of the office. Advances in technology have made business travel easier than ever.

It's Never Too Early To Begin Retirement Planning

by: Morgan Hamilton
Have you already planned your retirement? Does your company offer you great benefits and retirement options or do they simply avoid offering any retirement options? Maybe you already know that there are two types of companies when it comes to retirement. The one type tends to offer tempting benefits and retirement options to their employees while the other type will just avoid talking about this matter.

Why do they need to do this? I believe it is all about the money they can spend on their worker because of the differences in funds and resources, which they have. What I am certain about is that retirement options that different companies offer make them a successful or an unsuccessful company in the employees’ eyes.

However, retirement planning is a serious matter and we all have to consider it sooner rather than later. Appropriate retirement planning is the first thing that a successful career has to offer you. You should not wait to plan your retirement because funds may get scanty later. So, have you already thought about your retirement planning or at least have you already begun doing it?

Actually, are you completely aware of the contemporary ways of retirement planning? Don’t tell me that you think that retirement planning is a matter that only elderly people have to consider! If you think so, I have to tell you with regret that you are very wrong.

The truth is that time is passing even quicker than we expect. Retirement years will come quickly without you even manage to get ready for them. So don’t you think it will be better for you to plan your life ahead? Wouldn’t be better to be prepared for the retirement when it comes?

I guess you do not prefer to spend your golden years searching for some part-time job in order to make enough cash for simple living. Maybe you do not want to find it hard to pay for your week's groceries when you are at retiring age. Don’t you imagine your retirement years as years full of fun and relaxation, enjoying your hobbies and doing the things you love?

Therefore, you need to plan your retirement now and to ensure a better life for the future. What’s the right time to start retirement planning? Personally, I recommend starting retirement planning once you have graduated from college and acquired a good job. Then, you’ll only need to pay some cash monthly at the bank in order to make that future retirement worthy.

Probably, you have already considered retirement planning but you do not know where you can find a good deal. It will be a good idea that you first make a brief research over the internet. You will find out that there are many retirement planning related websites available which provide helpful and detailed information about retirement planning.

Moreover, all online advices are free! Such online services will be even more helpful if your current company does not offer a sufficient retirement plan. Time flied and you will get retired before you even understand it is time for retirement. Do not allow this to happen! Get started with that retirement planning today. Later, you’ll realize that you have done well.

The Two Truths Of Team Building

 by: John Davis

There are a few “truths” every manager, supervisor or team leader should realize before beginning any team building initiative. Ignore these principles and you’ll be building your castle on sand. Recognize them at every step throughout the team’s work and you’ll have a group that will function smoothly and effectively.

“So what are these truths?” you may ask. Well, their simplicity may astound you, but their effect is significant. I’ve listed the Two Truths of Team Building in the order of their importance below, and I’ve also suggested ways for you to implement them for the benefit of your organization.

Truth #1 – Know Your Team on an Individual Basis

If I had to choose one of these truths to build on initially then this would be the one. People are far too anonymous these days. Even within families and in the workplace where we see each other every day, we don’t tend to connect on a real level with very many people. In fact, if you ask anyone they’ll probably tell you that their friends of their childhood years are far more memorable and meaningful to them than their present associates.

Now I’m not suggesting that you befriend everyone in your workplace in a deep, personal way. But a few extra moments of “lingering” after the necessary work-related communications have happened can open up a whole world of opportunities to learn about those within your workplace in a natural, non-threatening way.

Truth #2 – Let Your Team Get to Know You

Most managers, supervisors and team leaders have an unreasonable sense of how they should hold themselves within the workplace. In our efforts to serve as a role model and a standard bearer we tend create a distance from the very same people who need to feel like they can come to us with their ideas and concerns. But who feels at ease in the shadow of Superman or Wonder Woman? Not very many people, that’s for sure. Team building efforts will never come together as effectively as possible if the leader is seen as unapproachable or “too perfect”.

So how should we combat this? I wouldn’t suggest for a minute that you do things that would lower your status in their eyes. But you can give them insights into who you are by being more of who you are at work. We all have lives outside of the office. Why not bring more of that to work? Do you have a favorite sports team? What kind of music do you like to listen to? Where have you been with your family recently?

Bring those things into your work environment so that your team can see who you are without having to come right out and ask you. Remember, it’s hard to get close enough to an icon to find out who he or she is. You’ve got to make those features about yourself accessible so that they can pick up on them without being too forward in finding out for themselves.

When you practice these two truths on a consistent basis along the road of team building you will find your team coming together more easily and more effectively. The power of getting to know one another within a work group can be the lubricant that eases the team through challenges that would stop a less cohesive group dead in their tracks. Which one do you want to be?

MLM Training - Are You Getting Any?

 by: Suzanne Fulford

MLM company training typically incorporates lots of hype, with claims of superiority, extravagant growth, and other big language. That type of training is typically not very helpful. A large percentage of people involved in network marketing have no experience with any type of promotion or marketing. This type of training usually leads the average person to frustration and possible failure.

Are you a salesperson?

The vast majority of people who get into network marketing are not salespeople, nor do they wish to become one! Yet the training people get from their uplines goes something like this: Now that you’ve joined, get your entire family and all your friends to join you! Go out there and talk to everyone within three feet! Get out of your comfort zone! Get 100 no’s! Make 50 dials a day! This type of training tries to turn trainees into salespeople. In network marketing, this leads to frustration and discomfort because people don’t like to sell or be sold, especially by their friends and family.

Here’s the funny thing: In my previous life, I was in sales! I sold everything from garbage services to advertising, and I was successful, too. When I got into network marketing, I thought, No problem, piece of cake, I can sell anyone anything; this will be easy. Guess what? It was hard. I did everything my upline told me to do, and I still didn’t have success. When I asked what else I could do, I was told to just keep talking to people and not to quit. What kind of training is that?

Do you have a simple, duplicable system?

In network marketing you need a system for promotion, presentation, and follow-up that is simple and duplicable—a system the average secretary, plumber, teacher, mechanic, retiree, salesperson, or CEO can follow. A system that’s rejection-free. For you to have success, a good upline needs a training system in place to teach people about people. Network marketing is a teaching and mentoring business, and in order to be successful, you must understand people and what makes them tick. Most MLM upline training consists of telling people it’s a numbers game. Have you ever been treated like a number? Did you like it? How did it make you feel? Is that the way you want to make people feel? It’s not a numbers game—it’s about people, and people are not numbers.

Most MLM companies don’t provide training that’s worth a hill of beans. Typically, it consists of a lot of motivation and “you can do it” hype. That’s okay. Believe it or not, the company’s job isn’t to train the distributors in the field; their job is to manufacture and ship the products and then send us our checks. That’s why it’s so important to find an upline or team that has a system already in place, a system that you can plug into for some good meat-and-potatoes training and that has great support and makes you feel part of a team, not alone on an island, struggling to survive. When you find a MLM team with good, solid training in place, it will be magic!

Debt Management, Budgeting and Financial Controls - Sticking to The Budget

 by: Keith Wallis

The Basics

As I outlined in my previous article on budgeting (http://www.cars-and-money.co.uk/tips/debt-management/debt-management.html), setting the budget is relatively easy, sticking to the budget is the tough stuff.

It is a bit like going on a diet I suppose. The thing about being on a diet is you are always thinking about the things you cannot have rather than the things you can have. So it is not surprising that most people go off the rails when dieting - that cream cake was just too tempting this time.

In just the same way, if you have set a budget and put some cash in the bank to pay for it later, it will always be tempting to spend next month's money today i.e. to go off the rails. Sticking to budgets is hard when you have been loose with money to date, but you have to do it - there is no choice.

Think of it this way. If you stick to the budget, things will steadily get better; if you do not then things will quickly get a lot worse. It is one incentive at least.

The principle is outlined clearly by Mr Micawber in Charles Dickens’ David Copperfield:

“if a man had twenty pounds a-year for his income, and spent nineteen pounds nineteen shillings and sixpence, he would be happy, but .. if he spent twenty pounds one he would be miserable”

The quote is famous, what is not so famous is that having said this Micawber then borrows money off David Copperfield for a drink then gives him an IOU in his wife’s name.

So just knowing what to do is not enough – the principles have to be followed.

Planning for Success

The principle here is very simple: failure to plan is planning to fail.

Clearly, you can deduce from this, the one thing that blows the budget time and time again is thoughtless, or unplanned, shopping. If it is food shopping then going to the shop without a plan, without a pre-established list is a recipe for failure.

Recent reports have suggested that one in six people now discards more than 10 per cent of their average weekly groceries shopping because the goods are either past their sell-by date or are no longer fresh. Salad and fresh vegetables are the most likely items to be thrown away. This is of course the result of not thinking through your weekly purchases and planning to use what you buy before you need to throw it out.

For example, when putting together your weekly food shopping list, plan the list around daily meals for the coming week and involve everyone. If you live with a family, or just a partner, everyone implicated in the budget has to be involved. It then becomes much less of a fight and strangely enough can be a very positive experience being something that you can all do together - not to mention a subject of much heated debate.

You need to know the price of things in the shop. Do not buy on the basis of it looking nice, look at the price and assess the value for money: the value to you. Get to know the prices of things so you can estimate spending before you go in the shop.

The key is in fact value for money, this is not necessarily about buying the cheapest option it is about value to you and if buying two food items today reduces your overall spend over two weeks - then spend more today and buy two to save money for next week.

Enough about food shopping, I will be covering it again in a later article along with another on assessing the value of purchases.

Focussed Shopping (not grazing)

The other substantial risk to budget adherence is of course non food shopping. The advice here is simple - give it up. This is very much a man / woman thing. Men generally will not take too much persuading to give up shopping, for women however browsing in shopping malls is a pleasant pass time and a good opportunity to pick up some great bargains in the sales (because we are cutting back aren't we?).

Unfortunately the truth is that even the best bargain is expenditure nonetheless. If you have run up debt as a result of past spending sprees you may not need to spend money on clothes for at least a year. So don't! Buy what you 'need' only and go directly to the shop you need to buy it from, buy it, then leave the shop and the mall (if applicable).

Do Something Else

There are pastimes, other than shopping, which do not require expenditure and you should look them up - they will keep you occupied, stop you thinking about all of the things you do not have and save you a fortune.

I will be covering this in more detail in a later article, but consider this: if you live near the seaside (in the UK you are never more than 75 miles from the sea), taking the kids to the seaside for a picnic will cost next to nothing, but will keep the whole family occupied for a day. However, make sure you pre-plan the day and take everything you need with you, bought at supermarket prices - not at local tourist shop rates.

Review & Revise

Another general principle in all of this is to be constantly aware of the budget that has been set and to constantly review set figures and performance. If you have changed insurance providers to reduce costs make sure you review it again next time it comes up for renewal (normally every year). Equally gas and electric consumption can be reduced and you should resist the siren call of direct debit and standing orders. Sometimes discounts can be obtained by using direct debit and it is difficult to argue against that, but service providers (e.g. gas / electric) can make mistakes and with direct debits you then have to get the money back after they have made the mistake and the money is with them. Remember 9 tenths of the civil law is possession.

In particular, not using automatic payments will stop you going overdrawn by mistake and will make you focus every month on each individual item of expenditure and make you think about ways of reducing it further. Discuss this with your partner at least once a month and maintain a continual focus on your money and where it is going. An annoying and painful process I know, but one of the secrets of successfully sticking to your budget nonetheless.

Reward

This is all very miserable stuff really. It is like outlining a manifesto to be miserable, a new stoic philosophy along the lines of some of the more extreme religious philosophies. Spontaneity is spurned and it seems you will never be happy again. If it seems that way, then it will fail; you will fail.

Just going back to the diet analogy, the successful dieters set themselves short term targets and provide themselves with rewards when they hit those targets. They also have a long term objective they are working towards with a big reward in the end.

If you are dealing with debt, a long term target may be simply to be debt free. A worthy target with a wonderful reward in the end: perhaps you should sweeten the deal with an affordable holiday to celebrate what could be years of careful budgeting.

Equally you may be working towards a house purchase – a mountain to climb for many people these days. You need to set yourself some success staging posts along the way.

For example, in dealing with the food budget problem, always aim to under spend on your target budget amount. Put at least some of the saving to one side. This under spend could now be used for trips to the pub etc. This will make you think twice about over indulging during a normal week as it will jeopardise a treat later in the week or (more likely) later in the month.

You can get a great deal of leverage from this by careful spending - that drink, meal or trip to the cinema will be so much sweeter when you have worked extra hard to earn it.

Better still make the reward some time off, or new clothes – something with lasting value. You need to decide what will turn you on.

With respect to the long term objective, never lose sight of this. If it is a new house – hang a picture of your ideal home on the wall or put a small picture above the TV to keep it fresh in your mind always.

Never forget your objective and last, but not least:

never ever give up.

Finding A Proven Income Opportunity That's Right For You

 Catch a Gideon
by: Jason Wilson

When you become interested in making money online, your first instinct is to scour the internet, looking for an income opportunity proven to deliver results. With so many different programs available, it can be incredibly difficult to decide on the best opportunity for you. It can be confusing, time consuming, and downright frustrating if you don't know what to look for or where to start. This article should assist you in figuring out the qualities that make up a solid, lasting home business. Take the information and go find the proven income opportunity you have been looking for.

The most important thing you should look at when choosing an income opportunity is the products you will represent. Virtually every opportunity out there is based on selling a product or service to a particular demographic. You should immediately identify what the product or service is, and figure out if you feel comfortable selling it. If you are not totally convinced that what will be representing has value, then you should not move forward with that particular business model.

Find something that you believe in, and feel great about sharing it with your clients and customers. Belief is one of the most important ingredients to becoming successful, no matter what it is you are doing. You will know when you have found the right thing by how it makes you feel. If your initial reaction is "People need this!" then you may be on the right track. However, if your first thoughts are "Will people want this?" then you may want to keep searching.

Another important aspect a business model is profitability. Any good income opportunity is going to have a unique compensation plan that is robust and powerful. You are not going to know what your results will be until you do it yourself, but make sure there is a strong potential to generate hefty profits. You do want to get paid well, don't you? Too many people put time into opportunities that have very little profit potential long term. A telltale sign of this is when the products or services involved have small price tags. How many $15.00 products are you going to have to sell in order to make substantial profits? At the end of the day, it makes more sense to focus on something that has a high profit margin so you don't have to sell a truckload to make a nice profit. A good rule of thumb is that if you aren't making at least $1000.00 per sale, it is going to be very difficult to build a multiple six-figure to seven-figure income.

You should also find out right away if the business is duplicatable. Most business plans that allow you to generate substantial profits are going to be simple enough that you can duplicate the results others are having. Make sure you can generate business quickly, so that you gain confidence and continue to build on your success. Also, check to see that you have the ability to build an organization of business associates or affiliates to represent your company. This will expand your customer base, and allow you to start earning residuals from the combined sales of your organization. A residual income is one of the best ways to build an extremely profitable business long-term. If you can build enough residual income, you may be able to rake in big profits while your business is on auto-pilot.

Always make sure there are successful people currently involved with the income opportunity you are considering. If you hear testimonials, sense whether or not they seem genuine or scripted. Find out what level the top earners are playing at, and make sure you have the potential to reach your desired results in terms of income. If you can't get some verified success stories, then you don't know if the business plan actually is tested and proven. Bottom line, you are looking for a top quality company with leaders that are getting the results you desire in life.

Lastly, it is imperative that the income opportunity you choose has training and support in place. The right dynamic business will certainly have system for you to duplicate. There is a 90% failure rate in starting a business with no system to duplicate. If you lack direction in your business, then you are flying by the seat of your pants and learning through trial and error. The company should have training system in place to assist you in building success strategies and understanding the core fundamentals of running the business. Also, the infrastructure to support your business should be a priority. There should be a strong focus on self development and building a successful mentality. In closing, simply finding a program with these characteristics drastically increase your chances of building a highly successful home business. Any opportunity with those characteristics can truly be called a proven income opportunity.

How NOT to be an Internet Marketer

 by: David Raybould

In the last few months I quit my day job because my online income had finally eclipsed my offline income- I read a million guides on making money etc, some useful, some not, but there were still some things I found out the hard way…… DON’T be like me!!

DON’T give up. Lots of marketing guides promise vast sums very fast, but I think it’s unusual (if it ever happens!)It takes time. When I started my first ever Adwords campaign I made $50 from the first click 20 minutes into the whole thing! Needless to say that was blind luck-Any thoughts of quitting my job right then were gradually quashed as I waited 2 weeks for the next sale. But I kept going, and so should you!

DON’T be a spurt marketer- If submitting to a search engine then sending a Solo ad out three weeks later and doing nothing in-between sound familiar, I mean you! Give yourself tasks for each day-Even if you keep to a small target of 1 task a day, such as adding one new link-after a week you will be receiving more traffic than the week before. It’s that simple.

DON’T skimp on your ad tracking- Only concrete figures will let you ascertain where you should repeat advertise and where you should not- Track EVERYTHING. There’s nothing worse than that nagging feeling of “Should I try that copy again?” That feeling comes from bad tracking habits. Track properly-The growth of your business will be smoother if you have a clear cut idea of what is working for you and what is not.

DON’T abuse your opt-ins/downline- They are valuable-treat them that way! Try not to pitch them too often. Mix up the content of your letter too. As well as the sales pitches, why not include say, a quality newsletter and some genuinely useful (non affiliate) links? I think everyone is more responsive this way.

DON’T forget traditional sources of info. Read up on advertising copy. Visit a library and get busy in the business section-It’s FREE! Learn about offline advertising-your ads will really stand out if you put some real technique in there. Advertising technology may have evolved, but people’s urges have stayed the same for thousands of years and certain ad techniques have been developed to focus tightly on those needs. If you can translate that into your online copy, you are set.

So there we are folks. Those are the main things I discovered the hard way. Take these on board and hopefully you won’t have to.

Do You Use These 6 Clear Set Criteria In Selecting An Internet Home Business?

 ReadQuick
by: Alan Ocab

Are you spending hours and hours everyday in front of your computer looking for an internet home business? Without clear set criteria, you are simply wasting your time and most likely will fall on a spurious opportunity or an outright scam. With the hundreds of internet home businesses available online, you will literally freeze as to which of these you would join.

Listed below are the most important factors you should consider when choosing your internet home business.

1) Are people buying from this internet home business? Would there be people prepared to pay for this product or service? You may have a very good product with every bells and whistles included in it, but if nobody is buying, then what good is that in your business? How do you know that people are buying? Well, if the business has been running for a while, most likely, people are still buying the product or service. If it's a newer product then you'll have to use your guts. If you buy something and feel good about it then the likelihood is high that there will be a lot more people that will feel just as good as you did about buying it.

More competitors on the product or service would mean that you are in a viable market and you'll just have to learn to be good at selling or promoting your product or service. There are many internet home businesses in which you don't have to sell anything. Some of the best internet home businesses don't even require you to sell a product. How is this done? You simply refer potential customers to a company and get paid a commission on each customer you refer or who buys. What makes this kind of business extremely attractive is that you don't have to deal with customer support, product delivery or any of the normal home business troubles.

2) Training and Support. One of the most important aspects of any business system, especially if it’s new to you, is training and support. At least there should be an email address or a phone number to contact if you need personal help. Some internet home businesses provide a web based training and support to their members. The advantage of the web based training and support is that it is readily available anywhere and anytime as long as there is an internet connection. The training system and support should show all there is to know to make money on the internet and should also be easy to follow.

3) Little Experience Needed. The lack of technical knowledge greatly increases failure rates in internet home business. Imagine a mom whose only experience is tending the family, she decides to start an internet business, the next day, she is introduced to css, html, pop-ups, php, blog, merchant account, hosting, autoresponder, sales copy, etc. Instead of simply marketing her business, she would be buried into the technical stuff. A good internet home business should only require a little experience, say; a working knowledge of the internet and operating a computer should be enough.

4) Income Potential. Will this internet business bring in real money for you? Hey, we’re talking of business here not hobby. So the income potential should not be low. Another thing to inquire is if the income potential sustainable. You may get plenty of sales this month but what about the months that follow? Does it offer multiple streams of income so that when one income stream closes, there are still plenty left? Is the income recurring, that is, you get money every month? A good example is web hosting and subscription based sites. Every month you get paid.

5) Can Be Done Part-Time: This is very important because a lot of programs out there say they're the perfect part time business but the only way to get any real results is to do it full time. The main reasons you are embarking on an internet home business is the money and freedom that it brings. Freedom to spend your time at things you love. The internet home business you will choose should not tie you up in front of your computer for hours and hours. A good internet home business is pretty automated. Once you set things up, the business runs by itself. You spend a couple of hours a day, tweak and change some things, then leave the system to run.

When talking about internet home business, the second thing that comes to your mind, after money, is the lifestyle. Think of it, if you have to spend 8-10 hours per day in your internet home business, it doesn’t leave much time for fun. That would be more of a job.

6) Company History: With so many scams out there, one thing to look for is a stable opportunity. Look for a business that has been around for a while, say 2 years. Well, there are new opportunities that are worthwhile but you should prefer for an internet home business that has been successful. You are going to invest your own money here so better be sure. You can go to search engines and check. Check the forums. Call the owner over the phone. Send an email to the owner and ask about the business.

These are the six basic things by which you measure an internet home business. Obviously, there are other things but the ones mentioned above are the critical starting points which when used would result in a good business decision.

Your Success Wealth 12 Step Program!

 by: Laurie Brandt

“To Build Your Business You MUST Have Great Resources, Content, and Products! If You Are Promoting Affiliate Programs, Reseller Products…You Must Have These Essential Items In Order To Succeed!”

Laurie Brandt

Subject: Do YOU Have What YOU NEED?

Hi, my name is Laurie Brandt. I have been around doing everything from Web Design, Hosting, Affiliate programs, Marketing programs, reading tons of books since 1999 and I am seeing the why’s we all question and addressing them. You see all of these Marketing programs springing up everywhere like banks and for the owner of the program it is a BANK! It makes them rich if they are good, well known and did this right!

Will our buying all these Marketing programs make us Rich? We already know the answer to that…of course not! Will some Marketing programs help you make money, YES! But not give you the Bank. No one, not even me will tell you all their treasured secrets, I will admit I will tell you most cause I am like you and want to succeed. Plus I am NOT Greedy, nor are all Marketers, some are really cool! But some are about self and filling up their Bank and taking our money.

How do we succeed? I Have investigated a few programs that I believe in and in time think they will prevail the amounts of money I desire…Rome was not built in a Day and in all honesty these Marketing programs took a lot of cash to put together, along with trial and error, to get it to work for them.

If I were rich I would give 1000 people or more a FREE top notch program for FREE! I am not so that’s not going to happen today. But what can we do today to get our foot in the Bank Door? Some of these Programs run well into the thousands, some charge a monthly fee (more my speed), some will give you payment options…but still that BIG question looms, can we afford it? For most of us we can’t…so what do we do? And these are the “Good Guy Marketers” I am referring too.

Well I attended a Teleseminar Call the other night and got some real useful info, was it free, no, nothing out here is free. Whoever said they made X amount without spending a dime, is a Liar! (Unless when the Net Opened up Commercially over 10 years ago, they might have and I even question that too.)

But a few basics I want to share that will help start putting some money in your pockets…we all MUST start somewhere. I am a member of a Marketing program (and an Excellent One, Made an excellent commission check and only joined a month ago) that I believe in time will put a good amount of money in my pocket, and in time maybe the knowledge to create my own Marketing program and have my own Bank. What can we do in the meantime?

Use Affiliate Programs, Be Careful Which ones you Choose. It is an excellent place to begin and I have made money using them and will gladly pass them onto you at the end of this report.

Read “Think and Grow Rich” By Napoleon Hill and “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” By Robert Kiyosaki, you can find them in Google and “Think and Grow Rich” can found Free. I will also add that to the end of this Report. “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” I have not been able to locate for free but Amazon has “Used” copies that are like fairly cheap. I’ll Get Some Pricing Ideas for you!

Pick out a Handful Of Affiliate Marketing Programs (Investigate, Read forums) to Create Multiple Streams of Income! I have put together a list that I know to be trustworthy and will make you money (see bottom of Report). Please keep in mind at all times, no action results in no action…meaning if you do not Promote and work the Program you will gain absolutely nothing. All these pay a fee and make a Fortune is a Rip-off, the only person making a Fortune is the one you gave your money too. And again, if you do pay for a good program and do NOTHING, you get just that, NOTHING!

Build an Opt-List (Not Easy) but a Must to have, use a Landing/Capture page with your Autoresponder on it. I have some ideas you can use but remember this is not an easy task...people will actually say “NO” to good useful information. You have to try different things, get known and become Trustworthy. I will give you some Bonus materials to use in your efforts to build your Opt-in list and then you must be patient and study the ways of others that will share what worked for them. CREATE A Page similar to this and promote it on the Net once you have gotten a good feel of what you need to do and have seen solid results from your efforts. Never lie, just destroys your credibility and then NO ONE will want your Products, programs, etc.

Use a few Good Safelist (Again Investigate, Free ones will NOT get much attention) Promote your programs through them. Build a Solid Downline, this is a form of Opt in list also. I will give you a list of some that I have good results to fair results with…but still remember to investigate and look for some that may work for you. I do not have every answer; if I did I would be RICH by now!

Join some Networking Programs and share with others and learn, soak up all the good info you can get your hands on. I have a few that are very good and responsive…one that makes me good money! I WILL DISCLOSE A LIST OF WHAT HAS WORKED FOR ME AT BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE!

Then if you want to try your hand at Marketing, get a Product you believe in and promote it along with your Affiliate Programs! I have a few ideas for you here too and will give you this info…are the products free? Some, the good ones are not free, I sell them cheaper than anyone else and will also give you Free Memberships to some Great sites that also have great resources that you can make money with. You are under no obligation to buy anything from me. These are just what has worked for me

Then Promote, promote, and promote! Attend Teleseminars, live ones when you can so you can ask questions, not everyone gives you that opportunity but most do. Grab some Offline text books on Marketing, Affiliate marketing, you can get tons of Great Books at Amazon that says used but I have purchased many and they look new to me when I get them.

Read Materials on Copywriting…if you hate to write there are software programs that will do it for you or you can go to elance.com or some other agency and get a lot of stuff done cheap. Shop around. I am going to give you a just about everything you need to get started. But Rule #1: You MUST Promote, You must do your part, or nothing happens! Rule #2: see Rule #1! This is serious. This whole thing is serious, and if you are serious and dedicated, determined, nothing will get in your way.

The links I provide, please use…they are useful, beneficial and of GREAT value. I am giving you 2 free Memberships, which 1 is worth $26 monthly. There is even free hosting there, E-Books, Software, sooo many resources. So please do not take this lightly, I want you to succeed and am giving this to you for FREE! There is probably at least a grand in the free stuff and resources.

Teamwork and the POWER OF KNOWLEDGE AND NUMBERS! It works and it’s worth it, getting my 1st commission check from that program I just joined a month ago was too cool…they pay and any program I ever offer does…I will never at anytime offer you junk!

If you sit still and do nothing, nothing will happen, that’s a PROMISE! I actually know Affiliate Marketers that make over 100k Yearly! Money can be made many ways on the net…but keep it clean…don’t email people with RE: in the subject line, good way to lose trust in that person who is trying to sell you something. Be honest…I know I said I would not give out all my secrets, well I just did…I am not making 6 figures, I am disabled and some days I just can’t do anything…but I keep it honest and clean and will gladly refund money to an unhappy customer.

My list is still small but responsive, I believe in giving away good stuff that will help and benefit. I have 10 out of 10 at a networking program I use, but I still have a long ways to go. The key…DO NOT GIVE UP! You will hit slumps but it always gets better. During these slumps or slow periods take that time and read, learn, listen to CDs, Audio/Video files that pertain to the subject matter. Never waste time, your goal is to become Automated but never Isolated…make sure your members can always contact you. Your Autoresponder can do a lot but it can’t answer every question customers, members, potential customers may need answers or help with, so please make yourself available.

Try and test different things…I myself still have not found my Niche of choice but believe I will in the next few months…you will too. Just always, keep it clean, honest, and never be cheap. Your list will hang around longer if you treat them good, don’t email them to death and if you give gifts, give beneficial ones, they will appreciate you for that.

Share with them your experiences; ask them to share theirs on your Blog, Site, or Forum. I want us all to succeed and if I find the key, I promise to share. If anyone would like to reach me my contact info is under my signature. Thanks for your time and I hope I was able to help someone today!

Content – The Lifeblood Of ALL Business Online! Part 1 (of 4) What Is “Content?” - Two Different Online Business Models.

by: Steve Cowan
Generally, anyone who has a venture that is “doing business” online will operate in a manner that will fall into one of two categories

First option is that they will be involved in some kind of “virtual” business, in which all (or almost all) transactions, advertising and so on will take place online. As is often advertised as an asset of such a business, there will be no physical office or shop premises, no inventory to store or deliver and so on.

Indeed, and probably most confusingly, there sometimes appears to be a lack of “product” at all!

This is quite common where, for example, the “product” is some kind of online marketing system, which is marketed and sold online using, well, itself!

In other words, you are sold a marketing system by a marketing system (thus proving that it works!) and then you sell the very same system to someone else, and so on.

It’s a bit of a cliché, but nevertheless true, that things change online very quickly. If you or I have an idea, we can have it out there in the online marketplace tomorrow, if we choose to do so.

Thus, although it can seem odd to buy something as intangible as a marketing system, it can still be of great value, as it has the potential to bring the latest and newest ideas to your PC in an instant.

Informational products represent another example of almost totally intangible products that nevertheless sell well on the internet. Examples might be a “how to” website on, let’s say, crochet or whitewater rafting or website design or the best way of making a chocolate cake. All are totally intangible, but still in huge demand, which means that they are very profitable as well!

More information about the simplest method of creating such products for profit can be found at my site http://www.hiddentrafficgenerator.com/short.html.

Still with it? Good!

Now, the other type of business will be a “real world” business that probably sells a real tangible product, something that you can touch, smell, see. It could be widgets, Jumbo jets, hairnets, submarines, whatever and the business in question has probably used the power of the net to expand the original localized marketing efforts to go world wide.

They still market “offline” locally and their online efforts are an adjunct to these efforts, not a replacement.

This very broad sweep would probably cover 95% of business that takes place on or through the internet every day.

Yet, even coming from two such widely separated poles, both models of business rely on content to be, or not to be, successful.

So, what exactly is content?

Content – A Definition (or two!)

As suggested by this title, there’s effectively two different ways that you could define “content”.

One way would be to try to establish exactly what it is, so let’s try that first.

Content is “stuff”! It’s the “stuff” that you see every day on the internet…

Now, clearly that’s not really a great deal of help.

It’s an indication rather than a definition.

Trouble is that, in these terms, it’s not at all easy to establish anything that is anywhere concise enough to be a definition, so let’s move on to definition method two, which is in fact a good deal more helpful.

This is, what does “content” do, and, as we shall see, the answer to this goes a long way to clearing up the ambiguity created by our “stuff” definition.

Content is whatever you have on your website that gives your visitor or customer the information that they are looking or when they come to our site.

So, it can be factual information, like a product description, a catalogue or pricing information for the Jumbo jet that you are selling.

It can be less factual and more of an opinion, such as a learned discourse of where mankind is going over the next 500 years.

It can be an article such as this one, part factual and part opinion.

Nor is “content” only written, and increasingly, online audio and video are becoming ever more prominent on the net.

To summarize, content is whatever information you have on your website about your business and products, in whatever form this information takes.

Content is what makes visitors come to your site, it is what drives “traffic” to your homepage. In turn, content and the driven traffic it creates is what makes your business money, it is the engine behind every single cent of profit that you earn online.

Which makes content kind of important, I am sure you will agree…..

Coming in part 2, where to find and how to create great content.
